New Year's Gala

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting. I've been a little swamped with other projects, but I managed to squeeze in a card this week. I'm really excited about this scrapbook paper I bought from Me & my big idea at the craft store. It has alot of pretty elegant designs like the one on this card. When I saw this design I immediately thought of New Year's day. This would be like an ideal New Years Eve black and white gala I'd love to attend. Anyhoo, I hope you like it. Tooddles.

BOO!

Hello, thank you for visiting. I loved the last card I made that I wanted to continue making Halloween cards. This one came to me when I went to the craft store today. I found this beautiful black and white scrapbook paper that consisted of different flourished and elegant designs from "Me & my big ideas". I hope you like it. Tooddles.

Sweet Treats

Happy Friday everyone! Thank you again for visiting and here's todays card. I finally came up with a design for the Mojo monday challenge. I had fun with this one! I added some ink on the edges of all the paper pieces to give it a vintage look. And the accordion circle was especially fun and easier than I thought. I used the pepermint candy stamp from a christmas set from inkadinkado and the phrases from SU! Teenie tiny wishes. The black strip paper was from the Rockabilly dsp. I hope you like it. Have a great weekend! Tooddles.

Wedding Congratulations

Hello everyone, another beautiful morning in Southern Cali and my fingures are crossed for the Angels..lol I was hoping that with their fallen comrad Nick Adenhart #34 they would rip into the Yankees,.... no such luck, but they have one more chance today... I have my figures crossed :) But on to my latest creation... I haven't made much wedding cards so I thought I'd give it a try. I decided to use the Easel card sketch for this one.

I wanted to go for a non-traditional wedding card that had a splash of color instead. I used the Baroque set from SU!and used a clear embossing powder for the design to pop. I followed with the Boho flower punch and added a dot of Summer sun stampin' write marker on the flower.

Next I wanted to add another element once you prop the card open. I used the Congrats set with the the wedding saying to bring the card together. For the Congratulations I used one of the rubber stamps for the Always set.

And here's the finished result. To prop the card at an easel pose I used a yellow rhinestone brad to give it a little extra bling. I think it came out quite nice. I hope you like it and enjoy the reat of your week. Tooddles

Happy Birthday gifts

Hello everyone, thanks for visiting. this card was created for a dear friend whose birthday is today. We will be celebrating her birthday this weekend with dinner and drinks. So I thought that the SU! Bitty Birthday set would be perfect for the centerpiece.

I layered it with Pumpkin pie, Regal rose and chocolate chip because she likes the cards when the're heavy, she says. Not very good for my pocket, but whatever she wants, it's her day. lol I had fun with the scallop edge punch, where I add more dimensions to the little pictures.

Here you can see the way I added the banner and gave it's wave, and then put pop up dots so that the banner can stay in wave motion. I also added the rhinestone brads to give a bling. I can't to give it to her this weekend... I hope she likes it.  Well I hope your week has had a good start. Tooddles.

Operation: Write home

Happy Monday everyone, I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Mine was busy churning up a mass production of these special Christmas cards for an awesome organization I came across a couple of weeks ago. "Operation Write home" asks for the crafty public to send in their own creations to their organization, so they in turn send them to the troops over seas. Then the troops will have your awesome creations to send to their love ones for the holidays. What a great idea!! So I've been comtemplative thinking of cards to match their criteria. So far this is what I came up with, and I hope they like them.

If its something you would like to participate in, you can read more about this awesome organization at
http://www.operationwritehome.org/

Well I hope you like these, I'll post some of them in detail. thanks for stopping by. Tooddles.

Merry Christmas, OCC sketch challenge

Hi again, I wanted to share another OCC challenge. This week involves a sketch challenge so I wanted to add my own twist and ideally that's what they do... is to get you to interpret in your own way what you what do with such sketch. They don't always have to bet exactly the same.

Also, if you've noticed I usually use a lot more paper on most of my cards, but this time I wanted to keep it more simply and spare all the layers and I think it looks pretty good. i hope you like it.

Christmas gifts

Hello everyone, i hope you're having a good week so far, the weekend is coming soon and the weather is changing again... that's Southern Cali for ya? I just got over a cold, thankfully is wasn't the H1N1, but you can't be too careful. So i was out of commission for a while, but I'm back and the fog from my brain is clear..lol. I got this sketch from the splitcoast site, so I hope you like it.

Sparkle!

Hi everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. It's starting to feel more like the fall these days with the winds and the chiily nights . . . . . I love it! It's time for another Mojo challenge, and to go with the chilly days coming soon, I wanted to make a card representing shiny stars and dark blue skies. I hope you like it. Tooddles.

Knock, knock!

Good morning everyone, I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. So I got up this morning feeling inspired to do a Halloween card since its so close. I have the "From the crypt" set from Stampin' Up! that I haven't done much with. It's seems like everyone wants to skip right over to Christmas, which I get, because it's so much prettier to create. So I hope you like this one as much as I do. Tooddles.

Let it snow!

Happy Friday everyone! Here's this weeks OCC challenge . . . to create a monochromatic card. I really enjoyed seeing this card come to life. I liked how the two different snowflake paper gave it an extra boost. I've always been loyal to Stampin' Up! but I was turned on to Inkadinkado's current christmas line. I absolutely love anything that has to do with "Filigree"... it makes the images more elegant. I hope you like. Tooddles.
