If the mountain wont come to Mohammad...
Well folks I didn't get everything I wanted for Christmas, so I got it my damn self..lol. I was really wishing and hoping I'd get my Spellbinder and some shapeabilities or borderabilities.. something named funny like that... but no such luck. So I decided to use my "rainy day" money and invested. It sounds better if I say "invested" rather than say "spend". Unfortunately because of Christmas and New Years being so close together, it'll take longer than usual to be delivered... but no worries, it'll be hear before I'd remember I'd ordered it. Anyhoo, I thought I'd fill you guys in on my creative dry spell for now and I'll keep you posted. Tooddles!

Sorry about that.
Hi Folks! So sorry I've been busy these days... 'tis the season... lol Also I've been holding out on doing any more creations, beacuse I'm really hoping for a special christmas present ... a "Spellbinder wizard" ..(hint, hint) ;)
In the meantime, I'm in the middle of organizating a big New Years party, and of course the invites are handmade. So I might as well display them and maybe by January I'll be posting new creations like a mad woman!
My sis and I can up with these colors to set a theme for the gala night. You can't go wrong with these and it definately makes it more regal. I started with SU! A brand new year, on whisper white card stock, layered with basic black, and made the whole card with basic gray. Then I used a trifold to add more anticipation for the individual who opens the invite. I found this awesome printed paper at the local craft store that was just right for the colors we were going for. I also found this very inexpensive clear stamp set that had the "time, place, etc" them and I added the filagree design from the SU! Baroque set with silver ink for more elegant look. And finally I used an organza ribbon to top is off. I think it turn out just right for a the budget we're working with. Thank you for stopping by, and if I don't post anything any time soon, .... Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Tooddles.

With Sympathy
Good morning everyone, I hope you week is off to a great start. Aside from the glorious weather we continue to have here in Souther Cali, I had a very good friend lose her father last week. So I kept her in mind when I made this card.
I started with the floral image in Basic black and embossed it with clear powder. Then I just colored the middle of each lilly with Yoyo yellow and the leaves are with Old olive. The next step was to go over the entire image with Versa mark and covered it again with clear embossing powder.
The next process was easy. Its easier to cover the rest f the paper by sponging an ink of choice, to not disturb the image you started with. I picked Baja breeze to not take away from the lillies. Then I added the water ripples by using a white gel pen to identify what parts of the images are in water. I think it came out quite nice.... after several drafts, lol. I hope you like it. I'll be back soon, tooddles.

Very Merry
Hi everyone, I hope you had a great weekend. I went to the craft store today and bought a beautiful collection of designer paper "Cloud 9" brand called Cocoa Mint. I thought it would look unique and rustic to do a sort of christmas card that has the dusty orange with browns and blues. I added some chocolate chip ink on the edges to the paper to give it a little aged look. the very merry sentiment comes from SU! Sweet and short set. I hope you like it. Have a great week, tooddles!

Good Times!
Hello everyone, I hope you're enjoying your extra hour of sleep... I know I am, lol. It's Mojo Monday challenge time again and I'm excited about this sketch. Since I'm on the subject of sleep, I thought I'd make a dreamlike card with the clouds and all. I've had this rubber stamp from years ago from a place, that sadly is no longer in business, but I feel it's still current.

New Year's Gala
Hello everyone, thanks for visiting. I've been a little swamped with other projects, but I managed to squeeze in a card this week. I'm really excited about this scrapbook paper I bought from Me & my big idea at the craft store. It has alot of pretty elegant designs like the one on this card. When I saw this design I immediately thought of New Year's day. This would be like an ideal New Years Eve black and white gala I'd love to attend. Anyhoo, I hope you like it. Tooddles.

Sweet Treats
Happy Friday everyone! Thank you again for visiting and here's todays card. I finally came up with a design for the Mojo monday challenge. I had fun with this one! I added some ink on the edges of all the paper pieces to give it a vintage look. And the accordion circle was especially fun and easier than I thought. I used the pepermint candy stamp from a christmas set from inkadinkado and the phrases from SU! Teenie tiny wishes. The black strip paper was from the Rockabilly dsp. I hope you like it. Have a great weekend! Tooddles.

Wedding Congratulations
Hello everyone, another beautiful morning in Southern Cali and my fingures are crossed for the Angels..lol I was hoping that with their fallen comrad Nick Adenhart #34 they would rip into the Yankees,.... no such luck, but they have one more chance today... I have my figures crossed :) But on to my latest creation... I haven't made much wedding cards so I thought I'd give it a try. I decided to use the Easel card sketch for this one.
And here's the finished result. To prop the card at an easel pose I used a yellow rhinestone brad to give it a little extra bling. I think it came out quite nice. I hope you like it and enjoy the reat of your week. Tooddles
I wanted to go for a non-traditional wedding card that had a splash of color instead. I used the Baroque set from SU!and used a clear embossing powder for the design to pop. I followed with the Boho flower punch and added a dot of Summer sun stampin' write marker on the flower.
Next I wanted to add another element once you prop the card open. I used the Congrats set with the the wedding saying to bring the card together. For the Congratulations I used one of the rubber stamps for the Always set.

Happy Birthday gifts
I layered it with Pumpkin pie, Regal rose and chocolate chip because she likes the cards when the're heavy, she says. Not very good for my pocket, but whatever she wants, it's her day. lol I had fun with the scallop edge punch, where I add more dimensions to the little pictures.

Ink: Night of navy
Accessories: Night of navy ribbon
Tools: Scallop edge punch
Operation: Write home
Happy Monday everyone, I hope you enjoyed your weekend. Mine was busy churning up a mass production of these special Christmas cards for an awesome organization I came across a couple of weeks ago. "Operation Write home" asks for the crafty public to send in their own creations to their organization, so they in turn send them to the troops over seas. Then the troops will have your awesome creations to send to their love ones for the holidays. What a great idea!! So I've been comtemplative thinking of cards to match their criteria. So far this is what I came up with, and I hope they like them.
If its something you would like to participate in, you can read more about this awesome organization at
http://www.operationwritehome.org/
Well I hope you like these, I'll post some of them in detail. thanks for stopping by. Tooddles.

Sparkle!
Hi everyone, I hope you had a nice weekend. It's starting to feel more like the fall these days with the winds and the chiily nights . . . . . I love it! It's time for another Mojo challenge, and to go with the chilly days coming soon, I wanted to make a card representing shiny stars and dark blue skies. I hope you like it. Tooddles.

Knock, knock!
Good morning everyone, I hope you're enjoying your weekend so far. So I got up this morning feeling inspired to do a Halloween card since its so close. I have the "From the crypt" set from Stampin' Up! that I haven't done much with. It's seems like everyone wants to skip right over to Christmas, which I get, because it's so much prettier to create. So I hope you like this one as much as I do. Tooddles.

Let it snow!
Happy Friday everyone! Here's this weeks OCC challenge . . . to create a monochromatic card. I really enjoyed seeing this card come to life. I liked how the two different snowflake paper gave it an extra boost. I've always been loyal to Stampin' Up! but I was turned on to Inkadinkado's current christmas line. I absolutely love anything that has to do with "Filigree"... it makes the images more elegant. I hope you like. Tooddles.

Happiness
Hello, thanks for visiting. Todays card comes from this weeks Mojo sketch. It took me a while to come up with just the right paper, but I think it came out alright. the Quote in the middle came from a small onion scratch pad I had a while back thats made for scrapbook sentiments and quotes. Happy Retirement
Hello everyone, I hope you had a good weekend, I sure did. I made this card for a friend, whose mother is retiring after 50 years with her company. It's funny how trees always come to mind when it comes to retirement... I guess it would be considered kind of majestic, maybe regal. what do you think? Well I hope you like, tooddles.

Friendship Blooms
Joy, Peace, Love
So here's another Christmas creation. I used the new Mojo Monday sketch #105 thats on for this week. I had fun with this one, especially with the big scallops. I used the 1-1/4 circle punch for those and I still have SU! Dashing dsp from 2007, I love this paper... I wished I'd bought more. I hope you like it. Tooddles

Hi everyone, I hope you're stay cool. It's unbelievable that the holidays just around the corner, and we're still into the 80's and brush fires are still burning. That's Southern California for you. with the light comes the dark. Anyhoo, this card was a no brainer. I used the Wandering words for the Mini catalog and the Lovely as a tree from the main catalog. Sending sweet thoughts
Hello everyone, I hope you're staying cool... it's currently 91 degrees in L.A. with a 40% humidity and boy is it unbearable. My heart goes out to the families and the men and women of the Fire dept. who are out there battling the worst fire, they say, in the history of Southern Cali. God bless.. so here's a special card i'm dedicating to them. Hope you like it. Tooddles

Thankful
Happy Friday everyone, thanks for visiting. I'd just gotten this particular set from the new mini catalog and was excited to get start on some cards. I really like the background mounted pieces where I stamped the leafs with the versa pad, it gives it a better dimension, don't you think?
Anyway, this summer in L.A. has me wishing for the fall already, have a great weekend and keep cool. Tooddles.

Hello everyone, I hope your weekend has been pleasant. Meanwhile, I've been on a whirlwind of discoveries. I've been introduced to "Stampscapes" or Stampscenes", dobbing ink, and Copic markers for effective dimensional stamping. I'm excited to show my "newbie" projects with these new techniques. Toodles

Happy Jars!
Hello, just wanted to share a pic of these cute spaghetti size jars that I decorated for three new friends I meet at my new job in Westwood. First, I have to tell you what motivated me to do this for them. They all had plastic cups for keeping their paperclips, and the little office they were crammed into is kinda dark, and bland. And to add injury to insult, they share the office with a not so pleasant person. So I wanted to brighten up their day with these colorful jars so it may brighten up their day and fill them with their paperclips. They were very appreciative to say the least. It's the least I could do for their warm welcome to the company. toodles
